Canada's Immigration

The Minister annually presents a report to Parliament that includes the planned immigration levels for the coming year. In determining these levels, Citizenship and Immigration Canada consults with Provinces, Territories and key stakeholders including employers, unions, academic and non government organizations as well as immigrant serving agencies. Consultation questions include stakeholders':

• Experience with current levels of immigration
• Views on immigration objectives
• Feedback on the balance between economic and non-economic immigrants
